Big life changes happening!

FullSizeRender-15I have some news.

As you know, last year I moved out of the Brooklyn to my dream house in the Hudson Valley. This whole time, I’ve been commuting to my job of 7 years, giving me a chance to adjust to the change and still be in NYC. It’s been a good transition. I needed to still be able to go to yoga after work or grab drinks with a friend as I adapted to not living in the City. But…

The commute is too much. I’m honestly exhausted from it and don’t have time during the week for much else. I never sleep enough and my exercise routine is suffering. Keeping a nice clean house and cooking dinner? Quite a challenge. So…

I’m starting a new job! I got an awesome opportunity from an amazing company in Warwick, NY and I couldn’t be happier. It’s going to be a challenge but I’m going to learn so much.

It’s nerve wracking because so much of my identity has been wrapped up in my job and in NYC for so many years but this just feels right. Things are coming full circle and I’m coming home again but on my own terms. It’s exciting, scary, bittersweet, and hopeful all at once.

As of this Friday, I’ll officially be an upstate girl again. I’m bringing a little city chic to the country. Wish me luck!

It’s Time for Some Celiac Rants

Dude note 1: This is my 700th blog post. Crazy how time flies. I started my blog 89 months ago, so I’m averaging 7.865168539325843 blog posts per month. And yes I did that math in my head. I figure each blog post takes me about 3 hours to write, publish and discuss. That’s 2,100 hours. […]

Dude note that has nothing to do with this post: I’m sitting at a Starbucks on the corner of 57th and 10th, watching the bevy of activity outside and just absolutely digging living in NYC. —- So one of my Dudette’s is a sophomore at University of Delaware. After her health tanked Freshman year (read […]
